'...for there is in London all that life can afford.' These words open the photo book from British street photographer Matt Stuart. Originally uttered by Samuel Johnson in 1777, they are as true as ever in this book, which not only borrows its title from the famed British author, but also its credo. Stuart shows a nonpareil ability to capture fleeting moments vibrant with dissonant humour in that London bustle, and with this book, the street photographer turns what seems mundane to the naked eye into a world of sights just waiting to be witnessed.
